Out with the old run, in with the new
Ductwork that has corroded, been damaged or simply outgrown the space gets removed and rebuilt. Where the route still works we keep it and re-use the line; where it does not, we set a new one and agree it with you.
Existing services, ceilings and finishes are worked around rather than stripped out wholesale.

Removing the old run
The existing ductwork comes out in sections, with the route re-checked while it is open.

Building the new run
New sections are made to the sizes the space needs and installed to the same line.
- New duct made to size and installed to the agreed line

- Air-tightness checked before the system goes back into use
Reworking a run that is already there
Sometimes the ductwork is fine and the building around it has changed. Extensions, new branches and moved outlets are added to the run that exists.

What people ask before a run gets opened up.
- Can one section be replaced, or does the whole run have to come out?
One section is often enough. Once the duct is open we can see how far the corrosion or damage actually goes, and we tell you before replacing more than needs replacing. - Will the system be out of use while the work is going on?
The run being worked on is out of use while it is open. Where a building has more than one system we sequence the work so the property keeps ventilation. - Who decides where a new branch goes?
You do. We suggest a position based on the structure and the air the space needs, then set it where you want it and confirm the change before cutting.
